Yuvajana Sakhyam

Overview

Yuvajana Sakhyam was established in the Mar Thoma Church of Oklahoma in 1997, when Rev. Kuruvilla Philip was the vicar. Yuvajana Sakhyam comprises of the church youth, and complements the Youth Fellowship organization. The main goals of Yuvajana Sakhyam are ‘worship, learning, witness, and service’. Members actively participate in church worship services and take active leadership roles in the church. Sakhyam meets at least once a month, usually on the fourth Sundays, at a member home. In the meetings, emphasis is given on bible and liturgical studies. Members strive to witness Jesus Christ in all aspects of their lives and enthuse in various community service projects.

Yuvajana Sakhyam organizes Annual Picnic, Summer Cleaning, etc. and plays an important role in Christmas Carol House visiting every year.


Mission Activities

Members actively participate in various community service projects. Annually, sakhyam is sponsoring the education of a student at Balikabhavan, Kerala and another student at Ranni Tribal Hostel, Kerala. Sakhyam is also financially helping a nursing student in Kerala.
