Youth Fellowship

Overview

The Mar Thoma Church of Oklahoma Youth fellowship is made up of youths between the ages of 12-35, largely consisting of those youths studying in high school and college. The fellowship strives to grow in fellowship and community with each other while at the same time giving back to the surrounding community that has given us so much. God has been our guide and our inspiration in all our achievements and our hope in our endeavors.

The members of the Youth Fellowship actively participate in the worship activities of the church and specifically help to coordinate the Arise contemporary service which is held every Third Sunday morning. In addition, we hold several fellowship activities throughout the year to promote the community between us; such as sporting events, fellowship dinners, Bible study, and Holiday events.

Mission Activities

The core of the fellowship activities is service and the members of the Youth Fellowship actively volunteer with local organizations such as the Baptist Children’s Home, Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank, City Rescue Mission and Warr Acres Nursing Home throughout the year. We also actively participate with the Native American Missions and work specifically with the Choctaw Presbyterian Church in southeastern Oklahoma. We conduct activities on a quarterly basis to promote fellowship and Christian mentorship. We coordinate regular youth weekend retreats and volunteer at the annual events with the Choctaw CPC such as youth basketball tournament, Vacation Bible School, and annual youth camp.
